The Discover® Prepaid Card Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") begins on 12:00:00 (start of day) AM (ET) on 1/1/2013 and ends at 11:59:59 PM (ET) on 12/31/13. The Sweepstakes is sponsored by DFS Services LLC, 2500 Lake Cook Rd., Riverwoods, IL 60015 (the "Sponsor"). As used in these Official Rules, Discover Prepaid Card ("Card") means a reloadable prepaid product that displays the Discover Network acceptance mark and is issued by a participating Card issuer.

1. ELIGIBILITY:  The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older as of time of entry. Employees of Sponsor and participating Card issuers are not eligible to win any prize; their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and/or those living in the same household of each, whether or not related to, are not eligible to win a prize. Employees of affiliates, subsidiaries, parent companies, and advertising and promotion agencies of DFS Services LLC or participating Card issuers are not eligible to win a prize. Void where prohibited by law.
   
   

2. HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:  Beginning 12:00:00 (start of day) AM (ET) on 1/1/13 through 11:59:59 PM (ET) on 12/31/13 ("Sweepstakes Period"), you will automatically receive one entry into a monthly random drawing and into the Grand Prize random drawing each time you make a purchase via signature authorization (i.e., without entering a PIN) at point of sale or make an online purchase using an eligible Discover Prepaid Card. Transactions must post to your account during the Sweepstakes Period and within 3 days of the date of the Transaction to be eligible. Sponsor is not responsible for any merchant delays in processing Transactions. The following do NOT qualify for entry: i) a cash advance or disbursement at an ATM, financial institution or casino; ii) balance transfers; iii) cash advances or disbursements made using checks; iv) the purchase of optional products offered by Card issuers including, but not limited to, identity theft protection, wallet protection, credit life insurance and payment protection; v) transactions made with lost or stolen cards or stolen card numbers; vi) transactions made with gift cards or other, non-reloadable prepaid cards; vii) transactions made with Cards via PIN authorization.

   
   

3. NO PURCHASE, TRANSACTION OR CARD APPLICATION NECESSARY:  To enter a monthly drawing and to be entered into the Grand Prize drawing without using a Card, on a plain piece of 3” x 5” paper, print your full name, address (no post office box addresses accepted), city, state, zip code and date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy) and mail it in a stamped hand-addressed business-size envelope to: Discover Prepaid Card Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 5683, Blair, NE 68009-5683. To be eligible for a monthly drawing, your entry must be received no later than 5 business days after the last day of that month. IMPORTANT: You must indicate on the lower left side of the front of your mailing envelope, the monthly random drawing you wish to enter. Limit one entry per outer mailing envelope. Your mailed entry must be received by 1/8/2014 to be included in the December Monthly drawing and the Grand Prize drawing. All eligible mailed entries received during the sweepstakes period will be included in the Grand Prize Drawing. Limit one entry per outer mailing envelope. No mechanically reproduced entries permitted. Illegible entries are void. Released Parties (as defined in Rule #6) are not responsible for lost, late, mutilated, delayed, inaccurate, incomplete, postage due, misdirected entries or entries not received in time for the random drawing(s).

   
   

4. RANDOM DRAWINGS:  Monthly random drawings will be conducted within approximately 10 business days following each month of the Sweepstakes from among all eligible entries received for each specific month’s drawing per Rule #2 and Rule #3. Entries will not be rolled over to subsequent monthly random drawings. The Grand Prize random drawing will be conducted on/about 1/15/2014 from among all eligible entries received throughout the Sweepstakes Period. Drawings will be conducted by D.L. Blair, Inc., an independent judging organization whose decisions are final on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning a monthly prize will depend upon the number of eligible entries received for that monthly drawing. Odds of winning the Grand Prize will depend upon the total number of eligible entries received throughout the entire Sweepstakes Period. Winners will be notified by mail.

   
   

5. PRIZES AND VALUES: 

   (1) Grand Prize – A $10,000 Discover® Gift Card;

   (12) Monthly Prizes (one per month: January - December) – A $1,000 Discover Gift Card.
   Limit one monthly prize per person throughout the Sweepstakes Period.
   
   Discover Gift Card terms and conditions apply for all gift card prizes. Sponsor reserves the right to issue checks in lieu of gift cards to winners in Sponsor’s sole discretion.
   
   To be eligible to receive a prize, a potential winner’s Card account must be in good standing at time of winner selection, if applicable. In the event that there is more than one authorized person on a Card account, the primary Card account holder will be deemed the winner. Prize consists of only the item specifically listed as the prize.

   
   

6. GENERAL RULES:  Potential winners will be sent an Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability/Publicity Release/Prize Acceptance Form which must be completed and returned within seven (7) business days of attempted notification. Noncompliance within this time period or return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification without further notice and an alternate winner will be selected. All federal, state and local income taxes are the sole responsibility of winner. All applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Winners may make no substitution or transfer of prize. Entrants (or parent/legal guardian if entrant is deemed a minor in his/her state of residence) agree to hold DFS Services LLC, participating Card issuers and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, and parent companies, and advertising and promotion agencies and the respective directors, officers, employees, and assigns of each (collectively, “Released Parties”), harmless against any claims, damages or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person arising out of use of prize or participation in the sweepstakes. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission to the Sponsor, the participating Card issuers and their agencies to use, in their sole discretion, each winner's name and state of residence and/or likeness for purposes of advertising/trade in any and all media now or hereafter known worldwide in perpetuity without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. All materials submitted become sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Released Parties are not responsible for computer, network, technical, printing, typographical, human or other errors, problems or malfunctions relating to or in connection with the Sweepstakes, including without limitation, errors, problems or malfunctions which may occur in connection with the administration of the Sweepstakes, the announcement of the prizes, the processing of entries or in any Sweepstakes-related materials; or for Transactions that are lost, misdirected, or fail to enter into the processing system for any reason; or are processed, reported, or transmitted late or incorrectly; or are lost for any reason, including computer, telephonic, paper-transfer, or human error, or electronic, computer, or telephonic malfunction, damage, error, omission, interruption, defect, delay in operation or transmission, or any combination thereof. By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and judges, which are final and binding. In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between disclosures or other statements contained in any Sweepstakes materials and the terms and conditions of these Official Rules, these Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control. In the event of termination, a notice will be posted online and the drawing(s) for all remaining prizes will be conducted from among all eligible entries received prior to termination. Sponsor may prohibit a participant from participating or winning a prize (and void all associated entries) if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said participant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, deception or other unfair playing practices or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other participants or Sponsor's representatives. If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including, but not limited to, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, then Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel the Sweepstakes. If terminated, Sponsor may, at its discretion, award the prize(s) for the drawing(s) at issue from among all non-suspect, eligible entries received for such drawing up to time of such action. In no event will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded.

   
   

7. WINNERS:  Names of the Monthly Winners will be posted periodically at DiscoverPrepaidPayday.com throughout the Sweepstakes Period. The name of the $10,000 Grand Prize winner will be posted on/about 2/6/2014- 2/20/2014.
   
   NOTICE: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the sweepstakes if fraud, misconduct or technical failures destroy the integrity of the program; or if a computer virus, bug, or other technical problem corrupts the administration or security of the program as determined by Sponsor/administrator, in their sole discretion. Any damage made to the website will be the responsibility of the authorized e-mail account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. Sponsor reserves the right to prohibit the participation of an individual if fraud or tampering is suspected or if the individual fails to comply with any requirement of participation as stated herein or with any provision in these Official Rules. Proof of submitting entries/transactions will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor.
